Project Coordinator

Cambridge Salary - Competitive Monday - Friday 37.5 hours

Purpose of role:

 This role sits within the City Fibre project delivery team co-ordinating the completion of surveys and the production of design packs and support various project dependencies on the installation project roll-out on both our Pre-Wire and On Demand contracts. The role requires effective communication and customer focus together with a confident, flexible and organised approach.

Duties and Key Responsibilities (Day to day requirements and Smart Objectives)

  • Accepting client instructions and entering them onto a tracker, initiating end-to-end survey and design delivery.
  • Allocating jobs to surveyors and planners, tracking their progress and reporting back to the Project Manager and client.
  • Updating the client portal, uploading packs and entering survey/build dates along with finance figures.
  • Raising requisitions for purchase orders and placing orders with suppliers.
  • Assisting with risk assessment production.
  • Keeping track of client acceptances and rejections.
  • Assisting and owning project dependencies across the installation programs, including preparing packs for engineers, updating build plans and keeping the client updated with progress.
  • Maintenance of project data and files.

Qualifications and Experience needed for role:

(E) = Essential

(D) = Desirable

  • Experience in an administrative role, preferably within the telecoms industry, however not a requirement. (E)
  • Experience in client facing/customer focused role.(E)
  • Confident in using Microsoft Office, especially Excel and other IT applications.(E)
  • Experience in project administration. (D)
  • Commercial awareness and experience of working with project finances (D)

  • Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.(E)
  • Initiative and ability to absorb task requirements quickly and have confidence to ask when unsure.(E)
  • Ability to work under pressure with a can-do attitude.(E)
  • Ability to prioritise work whilst achieving strict deadlines.(E)
  • Professional and confident on the telephone when dealing with clients, contractors and members of the public(E)
  • Knowledge within the telecoms industry.(D)
